Stevens Pass Alpine Club depends on the participation of its members. Becoming an active participant is the best way to understand the sport of ski racing as well as to get to know the rest of our “SPAC family”.

There are three key areas where parent participation is essential:

  • Race Volunteer: Hosting a ski race requires 50-70 volunteers for each race day.  There are a wide variety of race volunteer positions available, some of which require little to no experience and others of which require certification by the USSA.
  • Committee Membership: there are a number of committees which have been formed to look after various aspects of SPAC.  These are generally chaired by a member of the board of directors, but the body of these committees are comprised of volunteers from the membership.
  • Board of Directors: SPAC’s Board of Directors is the body which oversees the operations of the club.  The meets on a generally monthly basis, chairs the committees and is responsible for oversight of SPAC. Elections to the board are held each spring for three-year terms.  Feel free to contact any board member with questions about SPAC!
